Hook
If you spend five minutes doing these five things today, I bet you that Freshers' week is going to be less stressed out. So save this video and let's get started. Set up your university app and actually download it. And also your online learning service. For me it was Minerva at Uni of Leeds. So just make sure you've registered as a student on that. Also, if you've got your timetable, input that into your preferred Outlook, Google Calendar, whatever app you use for your calendar, because I found that I synced it and it made my life so much easier to actually have everything in one place. Create folders on your laptop for each and just start like adding in each subsection or just sort of organise your notes or the way that you want to make your notes system because I feel like it helps so much more. A bit of a niche one, but since you're moving to a new city, most likely, then I do think that having emergency contact numbers in your phone is really helpful, as well as the ones from your accommodation because I actually used that one quite a lot if I wanted to play pool or something if there's something up for other people, then I used to always call it and I didn't actually realize how much I'd rely on it. So definitely not least, I know you don't want to, but make sure you clean out your phone camera roll because you will end up taking so many pictures probably during first year or any year of university to be honest. So make sure you do that so that you're not caught out by the Apple iCloud storage, which we all love, I know, but it's just something to keep in mind and to do before the new year.
