Woman gives birth in fast food parking lot after hospital sent her away twice.
An Orange County mother was discharged from the hospital after experiencing increasingly painful contractions, with doctors instructing her to return when her contractions were three minutes apart.
The woman told local news that by the time she and her husband had reached the hospital's lobby, her contractions were occurring three minutes apart. When they tried to re-enter the hospital, she was sent away again.
As the couple drove toward their house, the woman realized that her baby was about to arrive. They pulled over into the parking lot of a nearby fast food restaurant, where emergency responders helped deliver the baby in the passenger seat of their car.
The woman says that she was in so much pain that she was unable to speak when she was at the hospital, and doctors gave her morphine. The hospital said it is currently reviewing the incident.
