My full review of The French Laundry in Yountville, California. We were invited by our close friends to celebrate a major achievement after two decades of hard work. Just being able to celebrate with them in this way was the biggest honor and what will make this dinner most memorable. The French Laundry is a beautiful experience to the point I almost feel silly criticizing it, but while amazing it was not over the moon perfection. Californios in San Francisco in comparison was over the moon perfect. I have also heard Single Thread is a rival to TFL. Charter Oak in St Helena is an incredible alternative if you want a more relaxed experience as well. If you have the budget I definitely recommend going to The French Laundry at least once in your life but it’s not the end all be all.
