The truth: scumbags get ahead, hard work doesn't. The reason that young people are losing their work ethic is because they've seen that working hard is no longer the key to success. Working hard is like a part of the equation, but they've seen that no amount of working hard is going to be more effective than being a scumbag. They've seen people climb the ranks, they've seen the people in charge of companies, in charge of the country, be horrible humans, and they just go, oh, that's what it is? That's what success is? If it's just a game of like, who can be the biggest piece of garbage, who is willing to exploit the most amount of people on this earth, that's who gets ahead in this society. Like, I remember when I was young, that was the message. The messaging was like, be virtuous, be hardworking, be a good person, life will be good. Now they're just like, I don't know, be, run a sweatshop. So it puts people in this position of being like, okay, do I want to sacrifice all my morals? Do I want to be a scumbag? Do I might be willing to step on my own mother's neck? Or do I want to have money? And I think a lot of them are opting for the former. It does seem like that. The worse of the human is, the more they elevate into world. They get to live in a big house, they get to make all the money, they get to drive the cars. You know what I mean? It's like they're pure scumbags and they're the one get promoted. Well, you trying to be morally correct and do the right thing and work hard, these cat- don't hardly show up for work and next thing you know, they're your manager and telling you what to do. So he has a very valid point. And like I was saying a few, a few videos ago, the hard work really, it's part of the equation, but not really the equation. If hard work really paid off, the donkey and the horse would own the farm because they was the hardest working animals on the farm. So it is what it is, man.
