EAST JERUSALEM 2009 Since 2009, Israel has demolished over 14,600 Palestinian buildings in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem - RAMALLAH 2018 TULKAREM 2025 HEBRON 2026 Over a third of those were destroyed in the last 40 months. NI'LIN July 2026 Israeli authorities have historically rejected nearly 100% of Palestinian applications for building permits. In 2024, the UN's International Court of Justice found "Israel's continued presence in the occupied Palestinian territory" is unlawful. Judges pointed to discriminatory home demolitions in their reasoning. Since then, Israel has destroyed several thousand more homes.
