We hope to see you in class real soon 🐌🏰🐈 People who overexplain themselves when nobody accused them of anything are usually running an old emotional pattern, and most of them don't even realize it. Hear me out. Your nervous system learned that being misunderstood was dangerous. So it built a brilliant strategy: get ahead of it. Explain the reason, the context, the whole backstory, before anyone can decide you're in the wrong. You don't overexplain because you talk too much. You overexplain because back in your home growing up, the truth alone was never enough to keep you out of trouble. And that's why telling yourself to keep it short never works. It's like handing over your receipts before anyone asked to see them, you're not having a conversation, you're building a defense. So it keeps costing you: the way you shrink in meetings, the exhaustion of justifying a life nobody's actually questioning. Seeing the pattern isn't the same as rewiring it. The wounded child inside is still trying to prove they're not the problem. You weren't born apologetic, you were an amazing child who adapted brilliantly. It didn't start with you, but it gets to end with you. Let's become the first emotionally free generation in our families!!
