sign up for workshop just visit link in bio if you want to come! You'll learn how to catch yourself before you react, instead of one second after. We hope to see you soon! People who get angry when what they actually feel is hurt are often in a fight trauma response, and most people don't even realize it. Hear me out. Your nervous system learned that hurt was dangerous to show. Sadness got you dismissed, or mocked, or it made you an easier target. Anger at least made people back up. So it built a brilliant strategy: send out the feeling that protects you instead of the one that exposes you. You don't snap because you're mean. You snap because being visibly hurt in front of someone, back in your home growing up, was never safe. And that's why "why are you being so aggressive" never lands. You know when a car almost hits you, and you're instantly furious at the driver? Ask yourself honestly: were you angry, or were you scared? You were scared. Anger is just what your body sends out when scared isn't safe to show. So people meet your anger, and they never get to meet you. Understanding it doesn't disarm it. Your anger has been on shift for twenty years, and nobody has ever told it that it's allowed to stand down. You weren't born harsh, you were an amazing child who found the one feeling that kept you safe.
