This is a little trick that farmers use to pick the best watermelons every single time. It's called the right rule and this is how they use it. R stands for round. Round ones grow at a steadier pace, meaning they're going to be crispier. Why? Watermelons don't ripen or get any sweeter once they're picked off the vine. So you want the ones that are in the fields sitting on the vine as long as possible before being shipped to the grocery store. And lastly, T stands for tight lines. This means you want a watermelon with a bunch of dark green lines and skinny white lines in between. Bonus points if you could find a watermelon that feels heavy for its size, sounds nice and hollow, and having webbing just like this is also a bonus. In my next video, I'll show you three cool ways to cut up a watermelon, so be sure to click that follow button.
