I'm about to reduce your mental load with a second brain app that's completely free. If you don't know me, hi, my name is Megan and I share tiny ways to make life a little bit easier. And I have often talked about how I use Notion to reduce my mental load. And a lot of people have asked me for this series. In my previous video, I talked about setup. So if you haven't watched that yet, go back and watch it. If you're ready for the next step, we are going to build this second brain app, little and often, simple. Not overwhelming. That defeats the whole point. And today I'm going to focus on your routines section. Anyone will tell you that routines are the basis of everything you're trying to get done in a day, especially if you're trying to set yourself new goals, tackle new things. Routines are key. And I don't know about anyone else, but sometimes having them all open in my head, sometimes means that things go out the window. Hopefully, you have got your personal page set up. We are going to make a subsection called routines, or I prefer that word, but you do you. And we are going to make a page called daily routines. On this page, you are going to have one section for your morning routine, and you're going to have another section for your evening routines. Now I know this sounds really silly, Megan, why on earth would I write down my morning routine? Well, I don't know about anyone else, but when I am so tired, have absolutely nothing left in the tank, just remembering to function sometimes is a lot. Having it written down, a visual reminder across all of my devices, holds me a little bit more accountable. And the beauty of this is in something that changes, I can adapt it and just tick it off as I go. Some people might want to track how often they do their morning and evening routines. I've previously had a Notion template in order to do that, but I found that another thing on my to-do list was filling in my tracker in order to do the thing. We're not here for that life. We want simple, easy. Don't worry about tracking it, it's okay to miss a day. Also in this section, you can have separate sub pages for your weekly reset, your monthly reset, six month reset if you have one of those. I actually have pages for my hair care routine and my skincare routine with the links to the products so that if I got hit by a bus and Simon needed to buy me some face wash, he could look on Notion, see the exact, the exact product. If you want me to dive into any of that, do let me know in the comments. Make sure you're following along so you don't miss one video!
