Every Friday night my family does Friday night movie night where we watch a movie and we have a little sweet treat. Peyton always picks the movie. Last week it was Home Alone. I don't know what she'll pick this week, but I am making our sweet treat for it. So I'm making a chocolate cake to get started. This is just the two ingredient chocolate cake where you mix the cake mix with Dr Pepper or Coke. I'm using Dr Pepper. And then I'm going to pour it into the pan. I'm going to bake this at 350 for about 30 minutes. You can stop there and it'll have a delicious cake. But I'm going to show you what I do to it. Usually your sweet treats are like M&Ms or something, but I'm really going all out this Friday because why not? Once your cake's done, it'll look like this. I'm going to poke a bunch of holes in it. I just use the back of a fork. Pour on some sweetened condensed milk over the top. I haven't had one of these cakes in so long. I'm so excited. Drizzle on some caramel sauce. A little bit of chocolate sauce. And some crushed up Heath pieces. You can find these in the baking section. And then I'm going to cover this cake. It's always better the next day. So it's actually Thursday. Tomorrow's Friday movie night. So we're going to enjoy this then. Here is the cake reveal. I never actually cut this into slices and eat it that way. I always find myself just going to the fridge with my fork and just eating some on the fly. My favorite part was the cool whip, but I absolutely love this cake.
