I can spot Claude writing in about four seconds. It's never one word that does it. It's the same seven patterns showing up together. 1| The em dash habit Claude reaches for it constantly. Three in one paragraph is not how anyone types in Slack. 2| It's not X, it's Y The reversal that sounds like a thesis and says almost nothing. 3| Headers on a four sentence answer Bold labels, bullets, a summary line, all for something that needed one paragraph. 4| The rule of three Clear, concise and compelling. Three adjectives doing the job of one. 5| The closing offer "Let me know if you'd like me to expand on any of this." Nobody ends a message to a coworker that way. 6| Perfect balance Every point gets a counterpoint, nothing is ever committed to. Real people pick a side. 7| The signposting "Let me break this down." "Here's the thing." Announcing the structure instead of just writing it. Bonus tell: "You're absolutely right." If that's in your doc, you pasted the whole chat. The fix isn't rewriting after the fact, it's setting Claude up once so it stops producing them at all. Save this, then go reread the last thing you sent. #claude #claudeai #aiwriting #writingtips #aitools
