A CBT IS COMPULSORY BASIC TRAINING. YOU CANNOT FAIL YOUR TRAINING FOR YOUR CAR LESSONS, RIGHT? THAT'S WHAT THE TEST IS FOR. THEREFORE, YOU CANNOT FAIL THE CBT BECAUSE THE CBT IS YOUR FIRST LESSON. NOW, SOME PEOPLE NEED A BIT MORE TIME ON THE BIKE, SO IF YOU DON'T PASS ON DON'T WORRY ABOUT IT BECAUSE OTHER PEOPLE TAKE ADDITIONAL DAYS ALSO. I'VE HAD SOMEONE TAKE UP TO 7 DAYS TO GET THROUGH IT, BUT THEY GOT THROUGH IT BECAUSE IT'S NOT A TEST. NO.2 L PLATES. L PLATES MUST BE ON THE FRONT AND THE REAR OF YOUR VEHICLE AND FULL VISIBLE VIEW 7 INCHES BY 7 INCHES. YOU'RE NOT ALLOWED TO CUT THEM OUT, STICK THEM BACK ON, YOU'RE NOT ALLOWED TO HIDE THEM. JUST MAKE SURE YOU'VE GOT BOTH ON. FOR ANY MISSING OR MODIFIED L THAT MEANS CUT. NOW YOU'RE LOOKING AT THREE POINTS IN YOUR LICENCE AS £100 FINE PER L PLATE. NEXT THING, MOD ONE. SOMEONE SAID IN ONE OF MY COMMENTS TO SOMEONE ELSE THAT IF YOU'VE GOT A CBT AND THEN YOU PASS A MOD THAT'S THE SAME AS AN A1 LICENCE. IT'S NOT. THE MOD 1 STANDS FOR MODULE 1 OF A TWO PART MODULE TEST. SO YOU MUST PASS BOTH PARTS. THAT'S MODULE 1 AND MODULE 2 TO GET THE A1 LICENCE OR ANY LICENCE CATEGORY WITH BIKES AND FINALLY BEING ABLE TO RESTRICT A 600 TO A 125 CC AND THEY COULD USE THAT ON THEIR CBT. THEN ONCE YOU PASS THE BIG BIKE TEST TO TAKE THE RESTRICTOR KIT OUT. THEY'VE GOTTEN THEIR FACTS MUDDLED. YOU CANNOT RESTRICT THE CC OF A MOTORCYCLE WITHOUT SEVERE MECHANICAL INTERVENTION. UM, OR POTENTIALLY A 600 IN LINE FOUR WITH ONE OF THE CYLINDERS GONE AND SOMEHOW YOU MANAGED TO JAM IT'S JUST NOT SOMETHING THAT YOU CAN DO GUYS. WHAT THEY'RE REFERRING TO IS FOR YOUR A2 LICENCE, YOU COULD BUY A BIKE OF 90 ISH BRAKE HIPOWER AND RESTRICTED DOWN TO 47 TO ALLOW YOU TO RUN IT ON THE A2 LICENCE. THAT'S EITHER DONE BY MODULATING THE ECU THROUGH A WASHER IN THE EXHAUST, THROUGH A SELF TAPPING SCREW AND THE THROTTLE BODY. IT REALLY DEPENDS ON YOUR BIKE AND WHAT THE RESTRICTOR KIT IS. BUT EVEN THEN IT STILL NEEDS TO BE DONE BY A GARAGE SO THAT YOU HAVE THE CERTIFICATE WHEN THE POLICE PULL YOU OVER. SO NO, YOU CANNOT RESTRICT A 600 OR ANY OTHER CC DOWN TO 125 AND IF ANYONE SAYS I'M WRONG, I'M NOT. SIMPLE AS THAT. GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR CBT, GUYS.

Don't listen to them! they're all lies ! #scottishbiker #bikersofinstagram #DAS #bikersofinstagram #cbt So, for a start, you cannot, I repeat, cannot fail a CBT. A CBT is compulsory basic training. You cannot fail your training for your car lessons, right? That's what the test is for. Therefore, you cannot fail the CBT because the CBT is your first lesson. Now, some people need a bit more time on the bike, so if you don't pass on don't worry about it because other people take additional days also. God, I've had someone take up to 7 days to get through it, but they got through it because it's not a test. No.2 L plates. L plates must be on the front and the rear of your vehicle and full visible view 7 inches by 7 inches. You're not allowed to cut them out, stick them back on, you're not allowed to hide them. Just make sure you've got both on. For any missing or modified L that means cut. Now you're looking at three points in your licence as £100 fine per L plate. Next thing, mod one. Someone said in one of my comments to someone else that if you've got a CBT and then you pass a mod one, that's the same as an A1 licence. It's not. The mod one stands for module 1 of a two part module test. So you must pass both parts. That's module 1 and module 2 to get the A1 licence or any licence category with bikes and finally being able to restrict a 600 to a 125 CC and they could use that on their CBT. Then once you pass the big bike test to take the restrictor kit out. They've gotten their facts muddled. You cannot restrict the CC of a motorcycle without severe mechanical intervention. Um, or potentially a 600 in line four with one of the cylinders gone and somehow you managed to jam. It's just not something that you can do guys. What they're referring to is for your A2 licence, you could buy a bike of 90 ish brake horsepower and restricted down to 47 to allow you to run it on the A2 licence. That's either done by modulating the ECU through a washer in the exhaust, through a self tapping screw and the throttle body. It really depends on your bike and what the restrictor kit is. But even then it still needs to be done by a garage so that you have the certificate when the police pull you over. So no, you cannot restrict a 600 or any other CC down to 125. And if anyone says I'm wrong, I'm not. Simple as that. Good luck with your CBT, guys.
