Welcome to Fun After Five, a series where I show you fun things you can do in Denver Monday through Friday after 5 PM. This is the week of August 3rd through the 7th, so let's get into it. Monday, August 3rd, there is a free self-defense class for teens and adults. Classes happening at Premier Martial Arts in Aurora, Colorado. The class is at 7:45 PM and you can sign up for your spot at eventbrite.com. This class includes training for all levels, so whether it's your first time trying something like this or you are a little bit of a seasoned pro, this class is great for you. Learn techniques to keep yourself safe and be prepared to act when danger occurs. Tuesday, August 4th, at 6:30 PM, there is speed dating at High Point Creamery. This is for adults ages 25 to 38. This is a fun speed dating style event and your ticket comes included with a serving of ice cream of your choice. So grab your ticket for $33 at eventbrite.com. Wednesday, August 5th, at 6:00 PM, you can join the Ladies Supper Society, which is a social supper club that I founded in December of 2024, for our final days of summer event. Starting at 6:00 PM at the Fort in Morrison, which if you don't know, is an iconic venue in Colorado. So we are having a four-course dinner with incredible options. Tickets are around $115, which I know is a little pricey, but like I said, you're getting four courses and a chance to meet the ladies of the Ladies Supper Society before joining and becoming a full member. You'll break out your best summer western gear and join us for a fun end of summer. Be sure to come prepared to share your favorite memory from this summer and if there's anything left on your bucket list you still want to hit, come prepared to share that as well. Thursday, August 6th, at 6:00 PM, you can head to the Teddy Cat Cafe with the Book Swap Society to curl up and read with the cats. Make sure you don't forget to bring a book to swap.
