Pet dog store Catscrimination is at an all time high. Is it a pet store or a dog store? As of August 3rd, 2026 Chewy sells 8,874 dog toys and 2,969 cat toys. PetSmart sells 2,054 dog toys and 507 cat toys. Last and least, Petco sells 1,963 dog toys and 777 cat toys. On average, the largest pet retailers are selling three times as many dog toys as they are cat toys. Just about as many pet cats as there are pet dogs. All the cat toys are the same! And most of the cat toys that all these stores are selling, six cat toys selling for the past hundred years. We're opening a store exclusively for cats!
