Special event in Rome August 5th 2026

If you are going to be in Rome tomorrow on the 5th of August, please go to this event because I can't go. I'm going to tell you about it. There's a very famous basilica here in Rome called Santa Maria Maggiore and people know the basilica, but they don't know the story behind the basilica. The story is that the Virgin Mary visited the Pope at the time, I don't remember his name, and also visited another guy named Giovanni in their dreams and asked them to build this church dedicated to Mary, the Virgin Mary, specifically in a part of the city where snow would fall in the middle of summer. Yeah. Miraculously, in the fifth century, in the fourth century, there was snow that fell here on the Esquiline Hill. And each year to celebrate this event, they actually recreate the snowfall in the middle of summer every 5th of August. I haven't been to Rome last year in November. I want to go and check it out tomorrow, especially because I literally live right next to this basilica. But the universe had other plans for me because I'm going back to the hospital tomorrow and I have a procedure and I'm going to be in the hospital all day. So I can't see. Look, specific of the events that are happening. I know that at 10:00 AM, they're going to have a holy mass. And then later in the afternoon, around 5:00 PM, they're going to have like, events. Music and other events. And apparently, midnight, I think I could be wrong, they're going to have like the fake snow that falls, everything. Rome. So if you're in Rome this week and you want to see something that only happens once a year, go see La, I think it's called La Madonna della Neve and record it and take pictures and tag me because I want to see it since I'll be in the hospital. Been. My summer has been completely been ruined in Rome. Curious. Just because it's ruined for me doesn't mean it has to be ruined for you. Have fun.
