So we just got back from our Walt Disney World trip last week and that trip really reminded me that so many families make the same mistake at Disney. And that mistake is they will avoid spending 30, 50, 100 dollars to save the money at the risk of the experience. So many families spend money on transportation and flights and tickets and hotels, and they forget that if they don't invest in some small things along the trip, they lose that experience which is what they booked the entire trip for. I'm gonna share with you the investments that my family makes every single trip that are the most impactful to our experience and our joy. This really does remind me of people buying first row tickets at a concert and then saving and parking two miles away to miss the first three songs of their favourite artist. Number one, Lightning Lanes. And it's not because we need to ride every single ride. It is because we wanna get two to three hours back in our day to spend with our kids, not waiting in line for rides. Number two, at least one character dining experience and this is one that I see people debate all the time. But for our family, this is worth it and this is why. We're going to get to meet the character, we're gonna get to capture the photos, all the memories. But we're gonna do that without waiting in line. We also are gonna get air conditioning, we're gonna get 90 minutes of rest and the food is just a plus. Number three, staying on Disney property when we can. The biggest reason is you get early entry. An early entry is gonna give you 30 minutes ahead of the major crowds that come in and you're gonna have the opportunity to ride two or three more rides. And sometimes you get to ride the headliners. It is very much worth it. The other thing that you get is if you stay deluxe, you can do extended hours. So on this trip, we got to do two extra hours at Epcot, amazing experience at Moana in the nighttime. It was so beautiful and our kids were so happy to hit every ride at the park that day. No. 4 reserved fireworks viewing. So we always pay for the dessert parties and at Magic Kingdom, there's a few different ones. We did the pre party this time. It allowed us to stake out a spot on the line. We got to see the Starlight Parade with great viewing and then also happily ever after. You can also do things at Epcot. We did a dining booking at a restaurant and there's a few restaurants there that you can do packages with where you're guaranteed to see the show and you get to sit down and have a meal and relax. We think this is so worth it instead of waiting two hours to find the perfect spot on the curb, fighting someone over it, and having someone stand in front of you at the end of the day. No. 5. And this will shock you. It is the bubble wand. The bubble wands are expensive, but they are worth it. They bring your kids so much joy. It keeps them happy in the park, in their stroller, waiting in line before fireworks. This is the best investment you will make for your kiddos. Get the bubble wand. So what do all these things have in common? They are not about spending more money. They are about buying more time back so you get the experiences, the memories, you lessen the stress and you get an amazing park day with your kiddos. Which again, after all, is why you booked the tickets. It's why you booked the trip. So you can save a little bit of money or you can splurge and get exponentially more value and joy for your family.
