After 2 Weeks at Disney World... Here's What WASN'T Worth the Hype 👀
These aren't things I'd avoid... they're the expectations I'd leave behind.
🚫 Trying to do EVERYTHING.
There are over 170 attractions, shows and experiences across Walt Disney World.
You simply can't do it all in one trip.
The moment we accepted that, we enjoyed ourselves so much more.
🚫 Rope dropping AND staying until park close every day.
Social media makes it look normal.
In reality?
It's exhausting.
Mixing early starts with slower days made the holiday far more enjoyable.
🚫 Chasing the shortest wait time.
Constantly refreshing the app takes you out of the moment.
Sometimes it's better to grab a snack, watch a show or explore an area instead.
The ride will still be there.
🚫 Having the "perfect" itinerary.
Disney doesn't go to plan.
It rains.
Rides break down.
Kids get tired.
Some of our favourite memories happened because our plans changed.
🚫 Feeling like you need to pay for everything.
Some of our favourite moments were completely free.
Watching the Dapper Dans.
Exploring World Showcase.
Riding TRON at night 🤩
Resort evenings.
Disney magic isn't always expensive.
🚫 Comparing your trip to everyone else's.
Instagram is full of highlight reels.
Your Disney holiday doesn't need to look like someone else's to be incredible.
🚫 Watching your phone more than the parks.
Between wait times, Lightning Lane and Mobile Order, it's easy to live in the app.
Some of our favourite memories happened when we simply wandered and took it all in.
🚫 Thinking every day has to be a park day.
Some of our most relaxing and memorable moments happened back at the resort, by the pool, or exploring the hotels.
The biggest surprise?
The less pressure we put on ourselves...
...the more magical Disney became. ✨
💜 Save this if you're planning a Disney trip.
Which one do you think people overhype the most?
