Toxic self-talk builds a toxic brain. And a toxic brain builds a toxic life. But it doesn't have to be that way. Your brain rewires itself around whatever you tell it most. Every time you call yourself stupid, weak, or a failure, you’re not just venting. You’re handing your brain a blueprint and it builds accordingly. Here’s the shift: talk to yourself the way you’d talk to someone you love. Same tone. Same patience. Same grace. That’s not soft. That’s how you build a healthier brain, one thought at a time. This is self-brain surgery. Hard and holy work. If you want some healthy thoughts to transplant for the old negative ones, try the list in Philippians 4:6-8. And remember II Timothy 1:7- you don't have a spirit of fear, but instead a spirit of power, love, and a sound mind! Let that sink in. And knock off the negative self talk. Follow me to connect neuroscience and scripture every day. Save this for the next time your inner voice turns on you. Share it with someone who needs to hear it today.
