Things you will need & not need during NC State Rush

My daughter went through NC State Rush last fall and these are some things that we bought that we think you will need and then some things that we don't think you'll need. So, what do you think? The first thing I really liked was maybe get a bag that you don't care if it gets kind of messy. So, just a little makeup bag. I put in some extra makeup products in there because you're gonna sweat and you're gonna sweat it off and I put a little hair brush, I think some hair oil because my hair like gets crazy. And then I put in some deodorant and fragrance. I also bought her one of those handheld portable fans that you can recharge and it was just nice in between houses because it is during Labor Day weekend, it gets hot so she could just kind of use that to cool off in between. So, something we use, something that you did not use that you bought. Um, something that was not useful at all just because they provided it is buying your own bag. I know some places they make you buy your own bag, but here they're gonna give you a bag that says whatever the thing is for the year. So ours was self-explanatory and then they did a fun graphic on it and every girl has the same bag. So something I would recommend is maybe putting a little personal item on it because you're gonna have all your bags in the same area and you're gonna know which one's yours and you don't want to like go through people's bags. So, I bought her a bag tie on it. It was red and it monogrammed her name in pink. So she could tie that on there and obviously she knew that it was hers. And then something else that you said you wished you'd had were those blotting pads. So I wish I had blotting pads because this girl in the bathroom, she had them and it just, like she gave me some and it really helps because you're gonna be sweating so much and you don't want to put makeup over sweat and you don't want to use paper towels. So this really just helps you like get all the oil from your face and just like a little more fresh and you feel a lot more cooler. And then one thing that we bought that she said she didn't use as much, but you might want it is like portable chargers for your phone. It just depends how your schedule will end up for me, my phone was like, my mind was like, hard on my phone because I had houses more than one in a row than like a break. So people have the privilege of having breaks, but definitely just bring a charger just in case. So I think that's about it. And we hope you all have a great time in rush.
