Okay so this happened 👀 ✨ We booked a GTY (guarantee) category on our Disney Wish cruise instead of picking our exact room… and honestly? Best decision ever. Quick breakdown: • GTY = you’re guaranteed a room in a category (like “oceanview” or “accessible”) but Disney picks your actual room for you • You save $$$ upfront because you’re giving up control over the exact location • It’s basically a gamble… but the payout can be HUGE 🚢 We ended up winning the lottery and got assigned a deck 8 accessible stateroom that was MASSIVE 🤯 way bigger than what we paid for, and we still saved thousands compared to booking a guaranteed specific room 💗 Would I recommend it? • If you’re flexible and saving money is the priority → GTY could be your best friend • If you need a specific spot (near elevators, connecting rooms, certain deck) → probably skip it and pick your room instead Curious if a GTY category makes sense for your next cruise?
