The whole “college is a scam” narrative is propaganda. Education is one of the few things no one can ever take away from you. Certificates and degrees can open doors, but the knowledge, skills, and critical thinking you gain stay with you for life. Not everyone needs or wants a college degree, and that's completely okay. But calling college a scam ignores the reality that, for many low-income and first-generation students like myself, higher education is a pathway to opportunity. Yes, college should be more affordable and accessible. Financial aid exists, but too many people don't know what's available or how to access it. That's why education and access to information are so powerful. Education breaks barriers, and that's why we must keep advocating for access and equity. #highereducation #highered #firstgen #fafsa #moneyhackstiktokcontest
