Spider-Man Brand New Day is Spider-Man Brand New Day is about healing. It's about mental health. It's about shadow work. If you haven't watched the movie yet, there are spoilers. You wanna come ahead, you wanna come back about this, come on back. What I will say is Peter Parker. Peter Parker throughout the movie is dealing with the suppression of his feelings. And I think it's a good depiction of what it looks like to keep things inside and how things end up spewing out and eeking out when you don't have the ability or the awareness to come to terms with the fact that you have something and process through to heal through, to talk through. Right? The importance of therapy, a support group, the importance of having people around you that are part of your community tied to that. Mary Jane and his own best friend, right? Have forgotten that they even know him. He doesn't have his normal support group. You have the cop in the movie that's like, yo, Spider-Man, you need help because this is like eeking out. You need to process through whatever is going on inside of you. Is a good depiction of what it feels like to feel stuck, the muck of your emotions and not know how to fully process them. And then they start to just spill over. And it's a what it looks like to also our own internal work to be able to ourselves like, hey, I need help. I need support. And as someone that has navigated anxiety, depression myself, and as someone that's had issues talking about my emotions. This is real. And it's important to talk about it through the lens of men's mental health as well, because out there in society, a lot of men perpetuating this archaic belief that if us men talk about our emotions, that we're somehow, we're somehow less than, when, in reality, everyone has emotions. That's something I've had to learn, too, and continue to are still moments where I'm like, ah, it's really hard for things to get out. Go ahead and sometimes admit that I need support. Has it gotten better? Sure. But is it still hard? Yes. This movie, again, does a really showing that. And this movie also shows a really good depiction of what burnout can look like. Because Spider-Man was like, go, go, go, but that was also a distraction from processing through his own emotions of what he, as Spider-Man, but also what he as Peter Parker was going through. In ways was forced to go a break. You also see what to have more of a balance, okay. We don't need to be overwhelmed all the time. We don't need to have our central nervous systems whack all the time. We can have a more balanced life. So I thought was a really good movie. I thought it was a really good depiction of just the mental health journey. And it's something I feel personally passionate about. So go check more of this. Make sure you follow for more.
