I need a second here, okay? I need a second here because I saw something that made me mad, and then I thought about it, and now I'm like, blind with rage. There was this, an opinion for The Wall Street Journal, why is Gen Z so pessimistic? Every generation has it bad. And I started thinking about when Z's age, this thing called empathy. I know that billionaires strategically hate it. That empathy is toxic and you shouldn't have that. And it's zerosum to be picturing yourself in the shoes of other people. Once in my mid-twenties. I remember how in my mid-twenties. I'm in my 40s now. So I went up an apartment that I remembered having in 2009. I looked it, remember that rent. My head. With my roommates about that rent. Didn't have it. Two bedroom apartment over just over 1,000 square feet. Nice part of town, nice building. That rent was? It was $800 a month. It was $800 for a two bedroom. That means the share was 400 for a room. $400 for a room in a nice town in Pennsylvania. On Zillow, because Zillow mess you up. I looked it. How much is that apartment complex? I went, I, I couldn't remember, but I remember found it. I scrolled through. I go, that's the same exact apartment. They haven't updated. That's the same oven. I remember I burnt DiGiorno in that oven. My $800 apartment is now? A two bedroom apartment today. $2,400. What the inflation? We 3Xed it three times. It three times. That means if you divide it out, that one room I was paying, if I was into that place, that one room will cost me $1,200. Here's the point the most though, cause she was, oh, Gen Z, today they make her people made back in then. Blah, blah. Guess what the minimum wage in Pennsylvania was in 2009? Seven dollars and twenty-five cents. It is today? Seven dollars and twenty-five cents an hour. It ain't moved. Everything's gotten more financially expensive. Everything. And then this to go and say, oh, we're at war. Everyday stuff gets more expensive. We all just paid tariffs. We paid tariffs that they got refunded to the companies. Just gave our tariff money to all the corporate companies. Do we get a discount? No. War where every other day the president tweets some nonsense and the gas prices. We can't trust our factory food. We don't know gonna exist because some weird tech billionaire might build a data centre and shut our career job down. They have a right to be pessimistic. Everything's maga.
