You know when you're typing and it suggests a word and then autocompletes it when you hit send? INFURIATING! 😂 but there’s an easy fix – all it takes is a quick change of a very easy to miss iOS setting 😅 doing Apple’s work here 📲 and yes you can still keep predictive text ✅ #iphone #iphonehelp #ios #apple #iphonetips What's happening is that it's guessing the next word in the sentence and then suggesting it. Which feels like it should be handy, but sometimes in some apps, unless you've deleted that greyed out word prediction, it will autocomplete the word when you press send. Why? I saw someone on Reddit texting I love autocorrected to I love you, which might be nice or might be totally inappropriate. Anyway to fix it, you need to go into your settings app, then go to General and then tap on Keyboard. Now totally ignore predictive text. That's not the problem. Instead, scroll all the way down to the page and look for the setting that's called Show Predictions inline. That's the setting that you want to turn off. And you won't get those greyed out predictions while you're typing. But you still get predictions above the keyboard, which is fine. So this should fix it instantly.
