iMessage

Why it worked

The video leverages the "hidden feature" or "secret trick" trope, which is highly engaging on social media. By revealing lesser-known functionalities of a widely used app like iMessage, it provides immediate value and encourages sharing and discussion.

Summary

The video demonstrates two lesser-known features of iMessage on iPhones: sending messages and photos with "invisible ink" that requires recipients to scrub to reveal, and a shortcut to access the camera roll by long-pressing the plus icon. It also shows how to reorder the iMessage app list to bring "Send Later" to the top for quicker scheduling.

Structure

1Introduce invisible ink text feature
2Demonstrate invisible ink photos
3Show how to reorder iMessage apps
4Explain camera roll shortcut
5Ask viewers what they knew

Product placement

YOU CAN SEND INVISIBLE TEXT ON BY HOLDING DOWN ON THE SEND CHOOSING INVISIBLE INK TO SEE WHATS WELL MOST PEOPLE MISSED THE SECOND PART TO THIS WHICH I THINK IS MUCH BETTER. WORKS WITH PHOTOS. AWAY AND IT LOOKS REALLY COOL. BUT IF YOU MISSED THAT THEN ALSO MISSED THIS. WHEN YOU'RE SENDING THE PLUS ICON CAN CHOOSE SEND LATER SCHEDULE YOUR TEXTS? FAR DOWN THE LIST, ACTUALLY REORDER THIS LIST. GRAB SEND LATER IT ALL THE THE TOP MUCH FASTER TO SCHEDULE TEXTS. AND AS A YOU WANNA SEND YOU DON'T ACTUALLY HAVE TO TAP AND THEN CHOOSE PHOTOS. IF YOU JUST THE PLUS ICON IT AUTOMATICALLY BRINGS UP YOUR CAMERA ALBUM. MUCH QUICKER, ESPECIALLY IF YOU'RE AN INVISIBLE PHOTO. DID YOU KNOW ALL OF THESE? IN THE COMMENTS!

You know how you can send invisible text on iPhone by holding down on the send button, choosing invisible ink, and then the recipient has to scrub it away to see what's inside. Well, most people missed the second part to this, which I think is much better. It works with photos. So you can send a picture and it'll be fuzzed out, and then you can scrub it away and it looks really cool. But if you missed that, then you may have also missed this. When you're sending a message and you tap on the plus icon, then you can choose Send Later, which lets you schedule your texts? Well, lots of people miss this because it's really far down the list, but you can actually reorder this list. So if you grab Send Later, you can pull it all the way to the top, which makes it much faster to schedule texts. And as a bonus trick, if you wanna send photos, you don't actually have to tap the plus icon and then choose photos. If you just hold down on the plus icon, it automatically brings up your camera album, which makes it much quicker, especially if you're sending an invisible photo. Did you know all of these?
