Hook
If I went back to Dublin, here's a couple things I might skip if I was tight on time. First, the Gap of Dunloe. It just looked like a dried up valley to me. I know there's a lot of history there and the mountains are really cool to me. I live where I can see mountains quite frequently and so it wasn't anything special. Horse drawn carriage line was really long and it just felt like something that wasn't worth going out of our way. The second thing I would skip is extra time in Dublin. I don't think you need more than one full day in Dublin. To be honest, it was just really touristy, really overcrowded there. There were just so many young kids everywhere, and when I say kids, I mean like 18-year-olds drinking, shoulder to shoulder, we had to body our way through there to get a beer at that, and overpriced beer at that. And we just couldn't get out of there fast enough. There's literally pubs on every single corner, so I didn't, you know, look around a little bit, listen to the music, stumble into a place that feels more like you. And then the last one, it's another pub, I'm sorry, but it's The Brazen Head. We just didn't have great service there. I know that it's like the oldest pub in Ireland apparently, but it just didn't feel inviting. We didn't have great service. Yes, there was music, but again, it was so overcrowded in that one room that we couldn't even get into to listen to it. And not only that, but it's a little bit outside of the city center, so that walk took a little longer. And I just wish we spent our time in the smaller towns. Speaking of Dublin, I know I'm gonna get hate for this, but The Temple Bar was not it for me.
