ep. 2 weird girl travel destinations episode 2 we're going on the weirdest road trip you can imagine we're going to Ireland to hunt for these and I'm saying "hunt" because there's about 100 of them hidden across the country these are called Sheela na gigs crafted in the 11th century stone carvings of n*ked women having their >> spread and actually deliberately displaying their v*lvas open they're embedded into walls of churches and castles across Ireland the best part is that nobody fully agrees on what they mean warnings against lust fertility symbols folk deities connected to birth and cycles of the earth Weird Girl Roadtrip Itinerary the hunt for Sheela na gigs so here's your weird girl Ireland road trip two days starting in Dublin so first stop is the National Museum of Ireland entry is free and there's two Sheela there the only place that you can get one face to face before you venture out to the hunting for them yourself then you drive 90 minutes to Esker Castle there are no signs you just have to find her yourself she's beautiful and she's been there since the Middle Ages so put some respect in her name. then you drive an hour and a half south to Fethard one of the most intact medieval wall towns in Ireland there's three Sheelas there and very good pub food as well apparently there was 4 but one got stolen?? so look for the Sheilas and then sleep there Day two you do the beautiful drive to West Cork and end at this castle Ballinacarriga Castle you can find the Sheela on the outer wall right above the door so she should be pretty easy to find I've been collecting weird girl destinations like this for years so comment down below WEIRD and I'll send you a full updated list check out my app Albo!! 👹 by the way instead of saving this video for later send it to the Albo app and it will automatically pin all the places mentioned to a map for you
