Just two days ago on August 4th, SpaceX revealed something insane. Now for two days ago on August 4th, SpaceX revealed something insane. Now for Starlink, Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile. During the meeting, they started talking about how they want to start making Starlink into a true mobile service, potentially taking customers away from all the biggest carriers, which are those three. And this will be way more than just satellite texting. SpaceX has been acquiring wireless spectrum and exploring a hybrid terrestrial-space network that'll combine like normal cell stations and also their satellite stations. So if you're in the city, you'll use normal cell service from a normal station around the city. But when you enter into the mountains or a desert or another kind of dead zone, it would automatically switch to Starlink. So you would basically have service everywhere in the entire world. Now SpaceX is still having a little bit of trouble of their satellites being able to handle all that traffic. But in their August 4th meeting, they were very clear. They don't want to support the carriers like they've been doing before. They want to become the carriers. If Starlink were to drop their own service today, would you switch to them? This is going to be a game changer.
