One of my favorite restaurants in Koreatown is Damsot. I always crave their steak hot pot rice. The marinade brings back so much nostalgia for me. The meat is always cooked to a medium and is so tender and juicy. They are also known for the eggplant hot pot rice. The marinade is a gochujang base, so if you like a little spice, that is for you. If you don't know how to eat this, you got to mix up your bowl, transfer into another bowl, and then put hot barley tea all over the leftover rice to leave behind some of that crispy rice to make into nurungji, which is almost like our Korean dessert.
