If you are thinking about doing LASIK eye surgery, I would advise you not to. I got mine done about six years ago and have regretted it. Someone that specializes in dry eye and ocular surface, these are situations that I hear. Now I'm not saying that LASIK is the devil, because there are a lot of people that are happy after LASIK and have an amazing improvement in their quality of life. But what we need to do is the proper testing. The one reason I'm not particularly fond of LASIK for alternatives is because there's this large incision made into the that has been nearly 90% of the nerve function structure that is densely populated with nerves that are important in producing tears, protecting the eye, and even regulating. And I'm not just spewing bullshit. Research over the last 20 years shows that LASIK is the number one cause of corneal neuralgia, which is a very serious condition. And also leaves 50% of the patients within a 15-year time span struggling with dry eye disease. This is especially if you already have a dry eye disease problem before getting this procedure, because it'll just make the issue even worse. This is why I truly believe in the next 20 years, we will see a major paradigm shift away from LASIK. Refractive surgeries that are minimally manipulating the front surface of the eyeball. It really hurts to see people struggle like this. It can become a major burden on your mental. But I'm really what you about what the future looks like for refractive surgery. About your eyes, then follow me to improve your IQ.
