These are three hikes I've done that are actually worth the hype. Starting with a shorter hike and ending with a longer one. The first hike is going to take us to Albania. This is the Valbona to Theth hike. This starts out in Valbona. You'll stay here for a night in a hut and then the next day you'll hike all the way to Theth. It takes about five hours if you do it straight through unless you get lost like I did then you can take the entire way. Either way, it's beautiful. You see the Albanian Alps and it is unreal. Your Instagram absolutely worth the hype. You gotta do it if you're going to Albania. The second hike is going to be Indonesia. This is the Mount Rinjani hike. This is on the island of Lombok in Indonesia. Mount Rinjani is an active volcano and it is unreal. Beautiful, but it is super, super hard. One of the hardest hikes I've ever done. You're gonna camp on the crater rim the first day and then the next day you'll wake up probably about 2 in the morning to get to the peak by sunrise. It is really hard, but it is beautiful to the top. This can be done in just two days. Or you can also do it in three days, add an extra night where you hike down to the lake, stay for a night there's some natural hot springs. I did not do the three-day version, I just did the two-day. But either way, it's gorgeous. If you're in Indonesia, you gotta do this hike. And then the third hike takes us to Peru. This is the Salkantay Trek. This is the lesser known trek that takes us to Machu Picchu. The main one is the Inca Trail, but this one is absolutely gorgeous. You can do it in five days if you do it the normal way or you can rush it in four days. I did it in three days. I'm not sure if I would recommend three days, just it was really, really rushed. But still unreal. If you don't have the time for a longer one, three days is still great. Before four or five days, you can experience the full thing. Definitely do this trek. You end up in Machu Picchu at the end. It's a grueling a few days, a lot of miles you're gonna put in, but it is absolutely worth it. You see Machu Picchu. Those hikes are just a few of the hikes that I've done across the world. So let me know if you want to hear of any others, or if you have any recommendations, leave them in the comments.
