come with me on my weekly Aldi grocery haul (12 meals for around $50) Here's everything I got for less than $50 this week at Aldi. I got $45.08 est. total. Starting out I grabbed a three pack of green peppers for $2.69 and then I needed to grab some potatoes for $4.49 for a big 10 pound bag. I cannot get over how cheap beans are. I grabbed a can of cannellini beans and also a can of great northern beans. It was $4.59 for heavy cream that I'm planning to use for three recipes this week. I'm making chia seed pudding so $2.79 for plain nonfat Greek yogurt. And then $3.49 for some great yogurt. It was $1.75 for a tub of sour cream which I'm not going to use all this, I wish it came in smaller containers. And I also picked up some whipped cream cheese spread for $1.79. It was only $2.89 for this beef smoked sausage so I grabbed a pack of that. And then I needed three different types of cheeses this week so a block of sharp cheddar cheese, a block of Colby Jack cheese and then a block of this fresh parmesan. And the cheese prices are definitely one of the reasons that I love shopping at Aldi. The chicken was my most expensive ingredient at about $8 bucks but I did save myself some money by spending only $1.15 on frozen broccoli. Thankfully we're back to spending less than a dollar, I picked up a can of chopped green chiles for $0.85. I also needed refried beans, these are only $0.99 per can and I grabbed two cans. Then we were back over to the veggie section, I grabbed a big bag of onions for $2.39 and also a nice sized head of cabbage. And then I remembered that the green peppers look nasty so I switched them out for these instead. I checked my app to make sure I had everything, realized that I was missing cumin and grabbed some of that for $0.99. Here's everything I ended up grabbing and here's what I'm making: white bean chicken chili cheesy chicken and broccoli orzo bean and cheese enchiritos and creamy Southern fried cabbage.
