Things I wouldn't do now after surviving human trafficking. I wouldn't start a job that I found online, like on Facebook, without researching the person or the company and getting actual references from multiple people. I wouldn't let anyone convince me that everyone around me is against me and that they are the only person that I can trust and who is not against me. I wouldn't move somewhere with someone that I barely know without having my own way to leave. I wouldn't let anyone becoming completely reasonable for my transportation, money, food, housing, and basic needs. I wouldn't ignore it if someone suddenly tries to isolate me from my family and my friends. Last but not least, I would never, ever let anyone convince me that I cannot trust law enforcement, that I'm not allowed to get help, that I can't trust my own thoughts and my own decisions, or in general, that I'm not allowed to talk to the police.
