Here's some things that genuinely improve my life. Home edition part three. If you haven't watched the first and second one, go back and watch those. The second one in particular, it went completely viral and a lot of people were upset about how full my coffee was. So I've got Coke this time with a gap at the top so you don't get offended. But there's lots of useful stuff in the first and second ones. So go back and watch those. Number one, keeping a note of every measurement in the house. So measure everywhere that you want to buy for in your house. Keep it in your phone and then every time you go out to the store and you see something you like, or online scrolling, you see something you like, you already have the measurement. So it removes the faff of having to go and get a measuring tape. Saves the faff. I love it. Number two, buying a duvet one size bigger than your bed. Why does nobody else do this? I've always done this. So when I had a double bed, I bought a king size duvet. It just makes everything feel more plush, like a hotel. Um, I think it's what the hotels do. It makes everything feel more luxurious and fluffy. I love it. Number three, having a house manual. So get like a little folder and put all of your paint, um, with the names of the paint, um, all of the numbers to all of the, um, people that you've used to do all the stuff around your house. Um, manuals, warranties, anything like that. It's all in one folder. So then when you move, you can give those to the people that move in. But also you can just use it every time that you need to update something or do anything in the house. Very organized. I love it. Number four, putting dimmers on every main light. Or if you're renting, you can put dimmers on all of your lamps because I just think dimming your lights in any room that you're in, just instantly makes it feel more expensive and calmer, more elevated. It's such an easy win to elevate your home. Number five, keeping basic tools on each floor. So like I was saying in tip number one, it just creates a barrier to doing the jobs. And if it's already on that floor and in an easy access place, you might do it quicker, or you might do it quicker. Number six, booking house maintenance once a month. So I'm not talking like knocking down walls and stuff. Just once a month, schedule in maybe two hours in the morning on a Sunday to just do the little jobs that you haven't got round to doing. Number seven, investing in mattress protectors and pillow protectors. Now, this isn't very glamorous, but it just keeps your mattress fresh, keeps your pillows fresh, better hygiene. It's a game changer. Number eight, having a proper drop off zone by the door. So a place to put keys, a place to put your lip balm, etcetera, in one place. It keeps everything tidy and you never forget anything because it's always by the door. Great. And number nine, this is my last one. Create a home restock list. Me and my partner are doing this. So we have a shared notes app on our phone that we share, and if we run out of milk, he puts it on that. We need bleach or toilet roll. It always goes on there as soon as we run out. So when we go to the shop, we don't go, oh, we haven't bought that. We have bought that. It's just, all of these tips, I feel like a great ways to just remove annoying stress in your brain that you don't need. Life is stressful as it is. So just make your home less stressful.
