Okay what is a Canadian beaver and why does everyone tell you to try one? It turns out it's not an actual beaver. It's basically this giant piece of dough that they stretch out by hand, right? And cover in whatever toppings you want. And as an American in Canada, maple chocolate. I got the maple chocolate BeaverTail. Apparently the classic is actually cinnamon sugar, so perhaps I failed Canada already. But this was actually so good. It's hot, crispy on the edges, chewy in the middle, and basically everything you want from fried dough. BeaverTail. Touristy? Probably. Would I still try one? Yeah. Need to know what other Canadian food are Americans missing out on?
