I'm begging you to lock in on learning how to trade futures by the end of 2026. And I actually want to help you. So welcome Day 1 of my new series, Trading Day Camp, where I teach you how to trade futures in under three minutes. Okay, so let's pull up a chair and have a chat. I have less than three minutes, so let me start with the basics. What hardware do you need to actually trade with? I recommend some type of tablet, laptop, or desktop. I do not recommend a phone for beginners. It's very difficult to see. You need to be able to see your charts. Speaking of your charts, the software that you're gonna need is Tradingview and your broker. So I'm gonna need you to go to tradingview.com and create an account. You can sign up for a basic account for free, but I highly recommend at least getting the essential plan so that you have all the indicators and the other tools that you'll need. The last thing that you need is your broker. That is where you're actually going to deposit and withdraw your money. I'll show you how to connect your broker to Tradingview later, but right now, go ahead and open an account with the futures broker. I have Ninja Trader and Tradovate, those are the only two that I know have worked seamlessly for my community members. I know a lot of people are confused on how you actually make money with day trading because they assume if the stock market goes down or it crashes or whatever, that you're actually losing money. That is not true. You can make money with the market moving up. You can also make money as the market is moving down. Say you're looking into your chart and based on your analysis, you see that the market is probably going to go up. That means you will want to open a long position in the market. On the opposite end of that, if you're looking at your chart and you see that the market is probably headed down, you would want to enter a short position. Longs if you're going up, shorts if you're going down. My three minutes is almost up, so I want to answer the most asked question that I get every day, and that is how much do you actually need to start trading futures? I teach people how to trade futures on live personal accounts, which means we are not using prop or funded accounts. We are not going through evaluations. Um, and that is our money that we can withdraw today. I can show you how to sign up for funded accounts later, but I absolutely think that it's beneficial for every trader to have a live personal account that they can set their own rules for and that cannot be taken away from them if they do break one of their rules. The amount that I recommend you start with for trading micros, which is what you should be trading as a beginner, is $250 MES & M2K. To trade MNQ, gold or silver, I recommend at least $300 to $500. That's all I have for today's lesson. So your homework for today is to open an account with NinjaTrader/Tradovate and open an account with Tradingview. Also sign up for a broker account with Tradovate or Ninja Trader. Definitely follow me, save and share this post because tomorrow's lesson, I'll be talking about what specific tickers you need to be trading and what are my micro's versus mini's, and I'll be talking about margin requirements.
