5 things I bought for my apartment that were 1000% worth it 1. a high quality mattress I spent close to $2,000 on my mattress, which is the most I've ever spent on a mattress ever. And let me just tell you, it was absolutely worth it. I'm having the best sleeps of my life. 2. dairy boy bed sheets On a similar note, number two is high quality bed sheets. I bought the Dairy Boy bedding kit. It came with a duvet cover and sheet set. It was around $200 and they are the softest bed sheets ever. I always used to cheap out on my bed sheets and buy them from like Amazon and HomeGoods and stuff and there's such a difference. My bed sheets are so soft and I love them. 3. house plants I don't know why house plants are so expensive, but they are. I went to the plant store twice and I think I spent around $300 both times. But I love my plants and they tie everything together in my apartment. I always get compliments on them whenever I have guests over and they were definitely worth it. 4. nespresso machine Number four, my Nespresso machine. I bought a Breville back in March and that was a bad purchase, but my Nespresso I've been loving. It's easier, it doesn't make a mess and I'm not spending $5, $6, $10 sometimes on lattes. 5. shoe cabinet Number five, my shoe cabinet. I was debating between getting the shoe cabinet or a more like aesthetic console table for my entryway. I decided on the shoe cabinet because I figured it would be more practical and that it is. I feel like my apartment is so much more tidy because I have a really quick and easy place to store my shoes and it just saves me a lot of space in my closet as well. Technically, this is my first apartment on my own that I furnished myself. So I really wanted to get things that I loved and that I could bring with me to my future homes. So I spent a little extra money on some things, but I really love it all and this place really feels like home.
