When I started had on so sizes. Here's a quick guide for the curious. First up, we got the 10 ounce glove. Three reasons why a fighter might use these. They might be one to two weeks out from a fight, they're sharpening their skills, getting a feel for the 10 ounce glove. Two, they look better in videos, sharper on the bag. Finally, fight night, fighting 154 pounds, fights in 10 ounces. Anything below 147 pounds will use 8 ounces. Heavyweights use 12 ounces. Next, we got the 16 ounce glove. This is the most universal size, mainly for sparring. Fighters below 135 pounds will use 14 ounces. 16s are great for hand conditioning and protecting your hands on the bag. Finally, the 24 ounce one and a half pounds of pure grit. I use these strictly to build a strong foundation. If you text spar heavy bag and do mitts, fours, speed and precision will skyrocket immediately. Your real dog if you're using these. Clear comparison. Fours, overall, the 16 ounce is the mister do it all. The rest are a privilege to have. Helped. Peace.
