Why do some skinny guys have such deadly KO power but then some muscular guys have pillow fists? It's because of this formula right here which is the physics formula for kinetic energy. In other words, punching power. The V stands for velocity and that V is squared. Meanwhile, the M which stands for mass isn't. That means the speed of your punch matters way more than your weight. And the main factors for punching speed is tendon stiffness, fast twitch muscle fibers, and neural drive, which all have nothing to do with how jacked you are. However, getting more muscular increases mass and can also increase velocity. But eventually you're sacrificing speed to gain more mass which means less KO power.
