Doritos Dinamita

Why it worked

The video leverages a popular challenge format (blind taste test) with a well-known snack brand, creating curiosity and engagement. The use of colorblind glasses adds a novel visual element, while the creator's genuine surprise at the similar taste makes the content relatable and shareable.

Summary

The creator conducts a blind taste test of two varieties of Doritos Dinamita chips: the original and the Simply NKD version, which lacks artificial coloring and flavoring. Using colorblind glasses, she attempts to differentiate between them based on taste and texture.

Structure

1Introduction to the challenge
2Unboxing the package with chips and glasses
3Explaining the difference between the two chip varieties

Product placement

Doritos Dinamita (ACTS - its interface is operated, it generates or edits something, a visible result comes from it, or someone says what it does for them - the video demonstrates the product's taste and texture, and compares two varieties of it, making it the subject of the taste test. Removing it would change what happens in the video.) Doritos Dinamita Simply NKD (ACTS - its interface is operated, it generates or edits something, a visible result comes from it, or someone says what it does for them - the video demonstrates the product's taste and texture, and compares two varieties of it, making it the subject of the taste test. Removing it would change what happens in the video.) Doritos (APPEARS - a corner watermark, a channel or studio logo, an end card, a credit, a name on clothing, a repost stamp. Removing it would not change what happens in the video.)
