To answer common questions, I am not a degree apprentice. When I had applied for my role originally I applied for IT support apprentice level 3 because I needed anything to afford living, and I didn't go to university and knew that nobody would give me a date of science position if I didn't have at least a master's. So when the company saw my CV and saw that I really wanted to do Machine Learning, and they put me through their own series of personal tests that they were pleased with, and they offered to fund my degree and let me work full-time from when I started at the beginning of 2026, until right before my university starts this September I will still be working during university, just on contracted hours and I will return to full-time after my degree. I also plan to pursue a masters part time during employment with the plan of being 26 with debt free under+post grad and 7 years of experience My end goal would be to attain a PhD and work in big tech research at a big lab and teach and learn and nurture my love to create My path was non traditional, and just know that if you're going through hardship, as long as your spirit is unshakable and indominable, you can do it too– you don't have to go to a target school and you don't have to have supportive parents and maybe even food on the table, but if you absolutely commit to it, it will all come back to you in good karma and faith #programming #computerscience #machinelearning #mathematics #engineering
