Hook
Okay, so apparently I need to add some context because the internet has decided that my best friends hate me. The two girls in that video are my best friends and roommates and they are also two of the most introverted friends I've ever had. They knew I was meeting them at the store, they just didn't know what time I was showing up. Tara, the girl in the white, had a serious surgery a week ago and Ashton has been working on set all day, every day for the past several days. They were tired, they were sweating, and they were over simulating stories in Soho. Also, I saw them 20 minutes prior to this. We live together, we spend every waking moment together. So no, I wasn't expecting them to be jumping up screaming, crying, throwing up, popping champagne, doing backflips when they saw me. And to be clear, that wasn't the reaction to seeing me. That was their reaction to realizing they were being filmed. And to be honest, I think I would have been a little bit concerned if they reacted any more enthusiastically being that we see each other 24/7. And since strangers on the internet have decided they can determine the quality of our friendship based on a few seconds of footage, let me tell you what the video doesn't show. Tara and Ashton are two of the most incredible friends I have ever had in my entire life. They are the people I come home to, they are the people I tell everything to. They were there for me when my dad had a stroke, when my dog died, when I was having the worst anxiety of my life living in New York. They are two of the most beautiful women you will ever see in your life, but what's more insane is that they are more beautiful on the inside than they are on the outside. They are kind, they are loyal, they are fucking hilarious, and they are two of the best people you will ever meet. I could post hundreds of thousands of videos of our friendship online, but it still wouldn't cover how much of a good friend they are to me and how much I love and value them and how lucky I am to have them in my life. I love them, they love me, they're just socially depleted. So please release them from this body language analysis. They do not need to perform for the internet to see how much they love me. I love them, they love me, they're just socially depleted.
