Officially back and we're kicking off the back to school meal prep series. I really want to meal prep this so this can stretch for a couple days so that he has his favorite meal, so he can eat then each night and balance that with sports and playing outside and homework and all that good stuff. So the first thing on the menu is going to be salmon and fried rice. So I got an entire salmon fillet. The skin is on this bad boy. I'm not even gonna take the skin off. Go ahead and get a sharp knife and remove most of that belly meat. Go ahead and stack it on top and then slice right where that last one was. That's a good size piece. You got two fillets that are the same size. No glove, no love. Nice little thin layer of oil on each piece of salmon. I'm gonna go ahead and rub these in. Now you can hit them with some seasoning. Make sure the sides get a little bit of that seasoning off the board. Okay? I got the Blackstone heating up back here. I'm gonna hit it with some avocado oil. We're gonna put the salmon down. We're looking for a little bit of color but nothing too crazy. Cam doesn't like it really dark burnt salmon. I don't either. After about three or four minutes, we're gonna go ahead and flip these bad boys over. Cam's a simple kind of guy. We got some green onion, yellow onion, some broccoli, some egg, and the rice. I added a little bit of garlic to it and this is the secret sauce right here. We're gonna put a little bit of oil on the grill. For the butter, the butter runs away. You want to get some onions and some green onions and some broccoli. And then we're gonna scoop it to the side. Pour down a little bit of the egg. Cook this egg down a little bit. Once we cook this egg, we're gonna add it to the broccoli and onions. Then we're gonna dump the rice right here. Add some garlic, more butter. Chop and mix. When we come home, we ain't worried about Chick-fil-A or Panera Bread or McDonald's. We got food at home. Next we gonna add this Japanese barbecue sauce. Look at that. We gonna do just like they do the hibachi. We got a few bowls of fried rice. We got some perfectly cooked salmon. We got a few bowls of fried rice. We gonna do this for tomorrow. Try this method out. Let me know what your kids think about it. It's a wrap. Back to school. That's good. This is a quick and easy meal prep. It doesn't take long at all. The Blackstone made it ten times easier for me, but you could do it in the house. Try this method out. Let me know what y'all kids think about it. It's a wrap.
