Why it worked

The video taps into the relatable desire to find affordable dupes for beloved, discontinued products, especially when it's for a sentimental occasion like a mother's birthday. The creator's engaging personality and clear presentation of the lipstick comparisons make it easy for viewers to follow along and find value.

Summary

The creator is searching for a dupe of her mother's discontinued favorite lipstick for her upcoming 60th birthday party. She tests five different lipsticks, comparing them to the original shade and swatching them to find the best match.

Structure

1Introduction of the problem: discontinued favorite lipstick
2Testing and swatching five different lipsticks
3Comparing the tested lipsticks to the original shade
4Applying the chosen lipstick

My mom's was discontinued and I'm trying dupe. She turned 60 and I'm here to be able to wear her favorite lipstick to her birthday party. This is Lancôme Color Design lipstick in the shade 367 Fashion Icon very last time, because fashion icon! to be testing five lipsticks once and for all what the dupe of Fashion Icon is. A Revlon Super Lustrous lipstick in Smoky Rose MAC Lustreglass lipstick in Roan of Arc about face Cherry Pick Lip Shimmer in Kiss of Venus Splendide Lipstick in Exotic Red Rouge Dior lipstick in Daisy Plum Here's my worse for wear 3dl Fashion Icon Here are of the lipsticks swatches compared. I'm going to put Fashion Icon on this side of my lips and every other shade on the left. I'm getting majorly sentimental. Smoky Rose Gorgeous, but it's not it. Roan of Arc Roan of Arc is definitely more muted and less glittery. Kiss of Venus It's a bit more red than Fashion Icon. Exotic red. definitely wrong. Daisy Plum I mean. And of course it's the most expensive lipstick I bought. I have a couple lipsticks in addition to Dior Rouge Daisy Plum that I'm going to give my mom. Her birthday party is literally two days. And I did it. A major shout out to Girlfriend Lauren for being the one to in Sephora Thank you for coming along on this journey for supporting me and my diva mother.
