Had the best weekend getaway with my mom and daughter in Charlottesville. As a UVA grad, I try to make it back to Charlottesville at least once a year, and @@TheCliftonVa_1799 is always my go-to place to stay. Highly recommend doing dinner at their on-site restaurant because the food is truly impressive. They also offer a delicious complimentary continental breakfast to all guests plus an à la carte menu. Their infinity pool is the perfect place to relax and they also have a bocce lawn and other outdoor games like badminton and corn hole. Even Oprah Daily highlighted this gorgeous property as the place to be in Charlottesville. We stayed in one of their little cottages. It was so quaint and cozy. we went straight to dinner at their on-site restaurant called 1799. They have an incredible executive chef and his food is truly top-notch. He sources a lot of his ingredients from local farms and his very own on-site garden. The next morning we had breakfast on their gorgeous backyard patio that had the most stunning views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. They also have the most relaxing infinity pool that my daughter loved. Such a wonderful stay. You have to check out The Clifton.
