CALLING ALL GRAPHIC DESIGNERS

If you're a graphic designer, especially if you're a poster designer, I want to see what you can do under pressure. I've designed posters for artists and live performers such as Dave Chappelle, Lil Baby, Logic, and many more. I want to put together a live poster competition where four designers basically get the exact same prompt and creative brief at the exact same time on livestream. Essentially, you'll each get 30 minutes to research, sketch out, concept, your idea, develop the concept, but you're not allowed to start yet. Everyone is going to be sharing their screens in the Discord, separated and locked channels after we start, so no cheating. And I'll be livestreaming it, going back and forth from each designer to designer. Then you'll get 60 minutes officially to start your design. You get 30 minutes of prep, 60 minutes of execution, and at the end, it's pencils down, mouse is down, and it's time to reveal. And everyone will get free critique and feedback from designers that actually do this for a full-time job. I'll bring in freelancers from the industry to judge the participants and the posters. So even if you don't win, you'll still get really useful critique from professionals that do this for a living. Thinking as this competition grows, we increase the prize pool, probably starting with like a gift card or some sorts, and then as time goes on, I think I kind of want to do live audience voting, but since nobody really cares right now, we're just going to do the professional freelancers judging it because we have those connections available. Personally, I have those connections available to do this as soon as anyone really wants to do it. Graphic designers, 1. comment, 2. DM, 3. repost.
