I've worked with so many content creators now that I'm pretty good at spotting patterns when it comes to content creators who will not be successful at this long term. Apologies if I've hurt your feelings, but the good news is all of these things are behaviors and can be changed if you want. Your only motivation, you're gonna struggle, cause for most this is a long game where you don't see results till you've posted at least 100 videos. Second thing is actually something I see all the time and that's if you're creating content for other creators instead of your intended target audience. So for example, a video like you spent five hours, everything and TikTok gave you 200 views. Like that is relatable, but only to other content creators. You need to people consuming content are not creators. Make content like that, you're alienating the vast majority of your audience. If you believe the main reason that people succeed on social media, luck have something to do it? Yes, of course. Sometimes the right video hits the exactly the right people at the right time. But if you believe that luck is the main reason, you're removing your ability to get better, you're gonna blame everything on the algorithm instead of focusing on the things that you can control. Copying other content creators without understanding why their videos worked. If you're copying what they're doing because you think the words are what made the video good, you're really gonna struggle on somebody else's success to build your own. Also kind of related to this, if you're trying to be the content creator that you're supposed to be, instead of playing to your strength. Every content creator has different strength. Some people are really good storytellers. Some people are good educators. Some people are naturally really funny. Some people have really good editing skills. If you are a naturally good storyteller and you're making educational content because that's what you have to do, you're gonna struggle because you're gonna be continuously fighting against your strengths and instincts. Next thing is, if you pivot every two seconds, something and it you decide that that's enough evidence to completely change everything that you're Pivoting isn't bad. A lot of successful content creators pivot. They usually change direction when they have enough evidence that something isn't working, not because one video hurt their feelings. There is a difference between this doesn't work and this one didn't work. Next thing is, if your success in views, you're gonna have a really hard time. One of the quickest ways to make terrible decisions about your content. Video with 300,000 views could bring you 100 new followers and nothing. But a video with 10,000 views could bring you 300 new followers, a potential brand deal, and position you really well. If your entire system for analyzing videos is big number good, small number bad, you're not actually analyzing your content. You're basically just machine giving you a treat. Just a couple of things off the top of my head. If you want me to do a video on the signs that somebody will be successful, let me know in the comment.
