Let me show you how I've already done the first coat where you put your tape and now I'm gonna go over it and how to feather it out and all of that stuff. First things first you wanna get your joint compound at like a peanut butter consistency. Some people like to use a bigger taping knife. I prefer to have like more precision and where I get to put stuff. Totally up to you. Here you can see the tape just a little bit and I'm just gonna go over that with a pretty generous coat It's going above and below where the tape is And I'm just gonna start to even it out. And I go in both directions to make sure there's not a whole bunch cause that'll make it easier when you're sanding it down. Literally I'm just doing a tiny section here to show yo but I'm going vertically and horizontally with so I've got it pr But now I'm I did not understand that term when I first started drywalling.
