I told my husband that we needed better storage

I told my husband that we needed better storage and oh my gosh, did he overdeliver. I haven't been able to come up to our upstate cottage for the last month because I've been traveling for work, but he has been coming up and building all of this. In our basement, he even put in a section to be basically like our wine cellar/pantry. He did leave one part for me to have a little knotty pine shelf at the end, and that was putting on the three remaining trays. This little section of shelves is actually right at the bottom of our basement stairs and I'm really excited about it because we've been having a bit of a clutter issue in our kitchen. And so this is where I'm gonna store like the rice cooker, the blender, and just a lot of things that we use only for Thanksgiving and the holidays and then never touch the rest of the year. I don't think I want any food down here just because I don't know like a mice or bugs. But you might remember that we have a ton of wine leftover from our wedding a couple months ago and this is exactly the perfect place to store it. We also have a lot of dog things, like these slow feeders, extra bowls because my two nephews, they love coming upstate. Like this is their happy place, but they don't get up here that often. But overall, he overdelivered on storage because I don't even have anything to put on these shelves. He also made me a little desk down here and he said that this would be a good place to do my pop-selling hobbies. And I'm just thinking of all the craft materials I can put down here.
