Mile 1 of the Sydney Marathon. Everything's in kilometers. And I'm running on my first bridge. That's so cool. Mile 2. We're running into the city. And this is my second marathon in these sneakers. Mile 3. We're in a tunnel. Mile 4. So much for being winter in Australia because it is warm today. Mile 5. With a lot of uphill. A lot of getting onto like random highway ramps. Mile 6. And this is my sixth world major star. Mile 7. I am trying to push pace a little bit because I last ran my longest marathon time ever. And I would like to not do that again. But you guys, look what I'm running towards. The Opera House. Mile 8. The energy is so good, you guys. Mile 9. Yeah. Mile 9. Let's go. Mile 10. The incline is no joke. Steady uphill. Mile 11. I don't know if this is a good idea, but I'm running as fast as I can. Apparently running an 8:45, which is a lot faster than my usual. Mile 12. So much appreciated shade. We're about to do a weird U-turn. Turning, turning. Mile 13. Check in. Back onto the steady incline. Mile 14. Mile 15. I don't have anything to say. I've just been following this guy for like four miles. Mile 16. It's getting to that point where I'm just pouring cold water on myself. And I mean all the water stations. Mile 17. I've just been dissociated and thinking about pie marketing strategies. Mile 18. And I'm starting to daydream about what I'm going to have for lunch. I'm thinking a smoothie from Common Supply and a gluten-free sandwich from Whole Green Bakery. We just hit three hours. I'm trying not to get my hopes up, but there's a small chance that I'll PR. Mile 19. 30 kilometers. Mile 20. We have one training run left. Mile 21. I'm feeling very bloated. I don't know if this is the first day of my period or that I haven't gone to the bathroom yet, but I feel very bloated. Mile 22. Mile 23. We're back on Oxford Street. Mile 24. My favorite. I can feel my tan line is about to come out. Mile 25. I'm not going to PR, but that's okay because I'm getting pretty darn close. And I've drenched myself in water. Mile 26. We're so close. My watch just hit 26.2 miles. So where's the finish? I can see it. I can see the Opera House. Final push. We're going. I can see it. I can see the Opera House. That's so cool. Thank you. That's a beautiful medal.
